Interview with the Mawrtian Mascot:
What was your game plan going into the Triple the Spirit Race and how did it feel after you crossed the finish line?
“My game plan was to run, jump, and cheer my way to victory! I wanted to spread joy and excitement to everyone around me. Crossing that finish line felt AMAZING—like I was flying with all the spirit of our awesome school!”
What is your favorite memory from a school event?
“Oh, that's a tough one! I’d say my favorite memory was the epic fall pep rally when we had the biggest cheer-off ever! The energy in the gym was electric, and I loved seeing all the students and teachers come together to cheer on our teams! Having the Morgan State Marching Band play for us is just another plus!”
What do you think is the most important part of being a mascot?
“The most important part of being a mascot is spreading happiness and school spirit! I get to cheer everyone on, make silly dances, and create smiles all around. It’s like being the heart of our school—pumping up the excitement and making sure everyone feels included!”
How do you think your presence at events helps boost school spirit and bring our community together?
“When I show up at events, it’s like turning the fun dial up to MAX! My silly antics and cheers help everyone feel connected, whether they’re students, teachers, or families. Together, we create a sea of support and joy that makes our community even stronger!”
What do you think is the most important reason for students to attend school events?
“The most important reason to attend school events is to make unforgettable memories with friends! It’s a chance to cheer for our teams, enjoy cool activities, and bond with each other. Plus, you never know what amazing surprises might be waiting for you!”
You were spotted with the Orioles mascot– could you share a few words about your friendship?
“Oh my gosh, hanging out with the Orioles mascot was a total blast! We both love spreading cheer and bringing people together. It’s awesome to have a friend who shares the same passion for fun and excitement—cheer squad unite!”
